Dr Amos Wong
Dr Amos Wong graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 2014 and spent three years as an Associate Lecturer at UQ, where he mentored and supervised dental students. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics and is currently studying toward further postgraduate qualifications in clear aligner therapy and implant dentistry. In 2023 he became co-owner of Maudsland Dental Care and Underwood Dental Care alongside Dr Ben Thai. He is also principal dentist at Queensland Veneers and Aligners.

Get to know Dr Amos Wong
From a young age Dr Amos was drawn to healthcare. He is motivated to help patients improve their quality of life by restoring and rebuilding their smiles, something that came from growing up with grandparents who struggled to chew and smile because of ill-fitting dentures.
Over his career he has provided clear aligner therapy, porcelain restorations and implant surgery for several hundred patients. He has a keen interest in all areas of dentistry but particularly enjoys restorative treatment, including crowns and veneers, orthodontics, dental implants, wisdom teeth surgery and preventive dentistry. To him, a good smile is a healthy one.
Alongside clinical work, he mentors early-career dentists and runs continuing education programmes for the team.
Outside dentistry he looks after his lawn and indoor plants, and gets out fishing when he can. He serves at his local church.
Fun fact: after ACL and meniscus surgery in August 2017, he was back at work two days later, on crutches.
