How much you can access, and how long it takes
How much you can withdraw depends on the cost of your treatment and the balance in your super account. The ATO reviews each application individually and determines the amount you're eligible to release, so there's no fixed figure or percentage.
Applications on compassionate grounds generally take several weeks to be assessed. Submitting your documents promptly is the main thing within your control, and it's worth factoring that timeframe in when you're planning treatment.
To get started, book an appointment with us. We'll assess your dental needs and prepare a treatment plan setting out the procedures required and their expected cost. That plan, together with the supporting report from your dentist, is what the ATO needs to assess your application.
